During its very early beginning, it was merely a company that roasted and salted nut meats. As the popularity of Georgia Nut products grew and the customer base widened, Georgia Nut made its first big move into the California Avenue facility, located in Chicago, Illinois, in 1961.
In 1983, there was the addition of a new processing facility in Morton Grove, Illinois. During this time, Georgia Nut began to manufacture carob, yogurt, chocolate, honey roasted, and butter toffee coated nuts and fruits. These products greatly enhanced the already popular line and broadened our customer base. The most recent addition has been our sugar shelling line.
The consolidation of the California Avenue and Morton Grove facilities became possible during the month of April, 1989 with the relocation of our production and warehouse facilities to Skokie, Illinois.
Our Skokie building houses the most up-to-date manufacturing equipment to facilitate the processing of only the highest quality products.
Our customers’ continuous support and the great success of our products has brought us to a new generation in the Company’s history.
